“Hometown Hero” Sgt. Ernest Spradley Gets Ready to Fly

WBBM Newsradio’s Andy Giersher talked to Chicago Police Department police officer Sgt. Ernest Spradley, who got to ride in one of the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds. In April, Spradley spearheaded an effort to make six-year-old Madison Pruitt an honorary Chicago Police Officer. Pruitt, who had a rare form of muscle cancer, had always wanted to be a police officer. Spradley helped make that dream come true.
